Where to go when you're trusting a hairstylist to cut and shape 3 years of hair growth. I was serviced by Saskia, she made sure she understood very well what my expectations was. In a very unrushed session I left with a new style and very happy with the outcome. I will certainly be back. The salon has a very calm vibe and personable owner. Highly recommended.

Really disappointed with my recent experience at At the Terrace. I had an appointment for a Women's Cut and Style (stated on the website as $90, this is also what I have paid in the past). Just 30 minutes into my appointment the next client had arrived and was waiting, but at that point my stylist had only just finished blow-drying my hair, so she said to me "I would usually straighten it but right now I just don't have the time" - which isn't very respectful as I am paying for this service regardless of whether the stylist was running behind or not. I imagine she must have seen the expression on my face or realized that comment wasn't right, as she then asked me if i wanted it straightened and did end up straightening it for me. However, when I went to pay I was charged $102 for my cut and style, rather than the expected $90. When I queried this, I was told the reason was because "it took longer than it was supposed to", despite the fact that my appointment ended up being 45 minutes in total - which is not unreasonable for a women's cut and style (i'd like to add that my haircut was from shoulder-length hair to above shoulders, so wasn't even a majorly dramatic cut). What upsets me the most is that I was not informed at any point that there would be this additional charge until I got to the counter at the end, and that as a client - it is completely out of my control how long the haircut takes, yet I was the one being charged extra for it. I completely understand that your next client was waiting and you wanted to avoid keeping them waiting any longer, but I was also a paying client and deserved respectful and fair service - which I did not receive, and was instead overcharged by $12 (that too, without being properly informed). While I definitely appreciate you opening the salon early to accommodate my time preference, that shouldn't mean reduced quality of service - it would have been better to have been told to book an alternative time so the stylist won't be rushed.

VERY disappointed with the service at At The Terrace. First appointment I did not get what I wanted. $352 appointment - no refund and difficulty booking a ‘fix up appointment’ as the salon’s email replies “must not have sent through” - their words when they didn’t respond. I struggled to find a suitable time and ended up just cancelling the fix up appointment. Sent pictures of my previous hair to try again to get it right a few months later (another fully paid $352 appointment) and again, not what I wanted or asked for. Offered to redo my hair again but after two bad experiences I asked for at least a partial refund instead to go elsewhere. Louise said they do not offer refunds with the excuse that the owners do not speak English very well!!! This is SO disappointing and to blame it on this is VERY unprofessional! Asked to speak to the owners personally and ignored. No compensation either time I have been here. It is unfair to pay for one thing and get something else. Especially when it’s such a poor job costing this much money - $704 and ripped off. The worst experiences I have had getting my hair done and will NOT be coming back. I hope others don’t lose hard earned money and time like I did at this salon. ??

Tinted my brows uneven at first but that was easily fixed and she only did it because she was following my natural shape. The threading was so good and the price was even better which was $10. The beauty therapist there is really nice and she doesn’t let you leave the room without you being completely happy with your look. I also got my eyelashes tinted and lifted a week ago and so far they haven’t lost any volume and it’s like I just got them done yesterday.

Curtleigh is amazing! She made my hair look so good and was so lovely to chat to the whole time, definitely recommend!

Booked 3 weeks prior for mother of the groom make up. Artist was 25 mins late, then after 5-6 mins applying make-up another artist showed up to continue, as the original had to go to a "booking". I was running to a tight time schedule, and this was made a very stressful time, While I was reasonably happy with the end result, the journey was very unprofessional along with management response, which was just that they will learn from this experience. Wouldn't recommend.

I had the wonderful Kayla to get my hair balayage done last weekend and I absolutely loved it. She is definitely a professional hair stylist and educated me so well about the whole process throughout the whole time. She was hands down so humble and lovely and definitely very accomodating to my preferences and did her best to achieve what I wanted! Would 100% recommend Kayla ?

Thank you Louise for giving both my girls, 14 and 7.5 years old, amazing hair cuts. They have been so happy and shall keep coming back to you. Just exactly what I wanted for them as well considering the school going age and easy maintenance, yet very stylish. Next is going to be me. I will be booking a session with you soon. Thanks again and you are a fabulous stylist. Your staff is amazing too. Very polite and helpful. Effortless booking and a very caring attitude. 5 stars.
