Didn't realize before than all the stalls serve Asian food. It does lend to appreciating that Auckland is a diverse city.
There are a lot of choices, fun to graze and try a number of different stalls. Really liked the lively and friendly atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food for almost any taste bud! It's a great place to have dinner whether you're hankering for spicy Asian food or medium rare steak cubes with chips and salad. Expect a lot of people both walking around and eating at the tables. But don't be afraid to share a table. You might just make a new friend. It's also pretty clean. There are rubbish bins scattered around so clean up is easy. Most food stalls have eftpos but bring some cash just in case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Auckland night market only has food stands and is very small. It has live music which is pretty cool. The picture basically shows how big the night market is. Pakuranga Night market is about 2-3 times the size. Having shopping and food stands. It has a flea market feel to it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice stopover if you are staying in the CBD area. Mostly asian food, tables out in the open and a busker singing. Tried the green mussels that were grilled on the spot with lots of garlic, you can add chilli if you wish too. Delicious and its $10 for 6 mussels. Some stalls have yakitori like grilled squid tentacles on skewer for $4 and squid body for $5, shaomai (4 for $6), xiaolong bao, korean fried chicken, spicy food, etc.
