After conducting business with a number of similar companies, I've found AWS to be superior to its competition with its technical skill, workmanship, efficiency, reliability and integrity. For these reasons I couldn't recommend Auckland Wide Security highly enough. Thanks for the good work

Feeling cheated- charged over $200 to get a home alarm back-up battery replaced . Agreed to a $109 call-out fee (which includes 30 min of labour on site) and was happy to pay for the battery $60 (which actually costs $31 at PB technology). Less than 10 minutes taken to replace the battery and system/ sensor checks done which showed that the alarm was operating well. Then technician proceeded to do uninvited 'checks' on the panel and sensors and spent additional 30 min. I get the bill and get charged for 60 minutes total labour. I am not commenting on their technical ability. Their communication prior to the work was good. However the unethical billling behaviour as a trade/service provider is not acceptable. Definitely will not use Auckland Wide Security ever again.

At first this company had agreed to a price for installation of an alarm system, which was 4-5 hours max @ $85p/h, this was quoted over the phone. So I was expecting and invoice of approximately $425 max. They took 6 hours to fit an alarm, this was just switching out the old alarm and updating/upgrading to the new model. So for this I was charged $598 much higher than expected. At this point I wasn’t to upset because I needed the alarm installed before the long weekend and wanted piece of mind for security. They couldn’t finish the installation on the day was I was told that they will have to come back to finish it (another 3-4hours ) to add 2 more wireless sensors and some wireless remote switches. They then sent two technicians out to complete the job and tried to invoice me for and additional 12 hours including travel and time to get a part that they had forget to tell me to get. The additional invoice came to $998. I had to argue my point that this was bad practice and highly unethical to quote one price and charge something completely different. This went on via pointless back and forth emails. Not once did he pick up the phone and give me a call to resolve this. It wasn’t until I threatened to take him to small claims court that he agreed to dropping the second technician Labour charges which brought the invoice amount to $746 which I had to pay. During the time of installation his technician Rob was reading the instruction manual most of the time and the other technician was on the phone to ARROW HEAD ALARMS on how to program the alarm. For some one that said the literally been installing Arrowhead Alarms for 10 years this was a major shock. This was on both occasions. Ask any alarm installer and they would agree that this amount is outrageous considering I supplied the alarm and parts. What seemed very promising over the phone turned out to be a complete and totally unpleasant experience. Never would I chose to use them again or recommend them to anyone looking and getting products or services from them.
