★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After purchasing a new stereo from Supercheap Auto Palmerston North and being suggested to check out Mag & Turbo or Autosound, I inquired first at autosound about getting said stereo fitted and the price. I was initially offered a booking next week before being offered a fitting at 2:30pm the same day - which I was thankful for. However, after being told the rough price of getting the stereo fitted, I stated that I would check Mag & Turbo first and then maybe come back. The receptionist and, I assume the mechanic, immediately threw his hands in the air and said he doesn't want my business if I am going to be like that. The customer service was atrocious, and I would definitely not recommend this garage to anyone. Not impressed - took my business to Mag & Turbo where I received exceptional customer service.

They even fixed a small issue I had with a speaker not working for no extra charge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business to anyone. Jim and Paul

They tried charging us for a service they didnt deliver, threatened bay Corp of the $70 charge if we didnt pay, as we were clearly unhappy with the 'service' they delivered in not being able to fix our issue and subsequently giving us bad advice which put us more out of pocket. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop is good with friendly salesman and good services. I bought a Honda Fit Shuttle last week from japan direct in Tauranga. The car is like new done only 50k km. The Hybird battery is at 75% useable. The only thing that sucks is the CD stereo system. The sound is all at my feet. So the sales suggested a $3000 improvement upgrading everything. After testing the CD system with a well cut Essentials of Whitney Houston I decided that the amplifier is still good. I need to increase the sound quality with New Additional Alpine speakers. I put in 4 New Alpine speakers at a cost of $500 (labour inclusive). Wow the sound improvement was 200%. Tweeters are mounted to the door at close to my face to bring the sound to me.All in all I have deployed 6 speakers system and the sound is really good. This week I am going back to install. 2 more Alpine speakers set with separate tweeters to the luggage area to I can lie down flat to listen to real songs and music at night. These 2 sets of speakers will be housed in 2 ready made sound speaker boxes to shift the speakers about the big boot area. Then to increase the Bass I buy the new JBL woofer with separate build in amplifier. All this cost $1000 inclusive of labour and wiring. I am going to leave my car in The Sound Hog workshop this morning to get the new sound improvement 2 new Alpine speakers and a new JBL woofer. The secret here is to create the New 6 + 2 +1 speakers system first and I only will change my car amplifier or Add to it if there is not enough power. This step by step sound improvement is really great! Honestly if I am not going to open my boot and lie in the back of my car to watch the stars in the night sky I will not invest this $1000. I will edit this review to let you know the outcome. I am excited!
