★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived particularly hungry and excited to take advantage of the $2 Tuesday pie special. I always buy two pies when I'm hungry. I approached the pie cabinet with vigour in my step and decided I'd go for the classic mince ans cheese as well as a steak and cheese. I was on my way to pay when I heard the guy at the counter make a big fuss about buying two pies. What's this? My modus operandi was flattened by this googly! I was flummoxed. I turned around and put the steak and cheese pie back, brushed away a single tear rolling down my cheek and silently paid for one pie. It was also lukewarm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service witnessed ever!! After the lady ignored a customer and continued to mop the floor, another staff member (who was service me) promoted her to serve the man. She went to the counter didn't say a word, scanned the products and said "$12". Such a poor representation of the great hospitality Balclutha can offer. She needs a job outside of the service industry.... And quickly!
