About Bay Guesthouse - Luxury Accommodation
After Armando sold his Food producing company to UNILEVER and after working as Freelancer R&D to support his product line for five years, he became a stay home dad. He often says this was the best time of his life.
Armando often made fun about an easy job managing a household and look after kids. That soon changed in a very respectful attitude towards all stay home mums and dads. Perhaps it was that time when the dream was born to come to New Zealand to start a luxury holiday accommodation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mini break with another couple. Fabulous location and hosts. Just like stepping into a slice of Switzerland.... Food out of this world and Armande and Marianne couldn't do enough for us - they even made up some platters for us (from our leftover food supplies) when we're hadn't even requested a meal! Excellent value for money with views to die for. I wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone - you won't be disappointed believe me!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish i could give this place more than 5 stars! My husband and I have traveled all over the world to some spectacular places but Bay Guesthouse tops them all. Incredible views and outstanding hospitality.. Armando and Marianne are so delightful and such fun. They prepared beautiful meals for us - we were only there 2 days but left feeling like we've known them forever. We will be back!

Kids enjoyed their stay. we felt comfortable throughout our stay and felt like home. We would love to stay again in future. Forget to mention about the delicious food we had during our stay. Yummy? food I ever had in my life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have just had the most amazing stay at the Bay Guesthouse. The luxury accommodation is second to none and of the highest standard. If you want 'Wow', this is it. But not only that, there is more. The food that is so professionally and lovingly prepared will leave you in no doubt you have found something special. We were made to feel as if we were the most important guest ever to arrive in this piece of paradise. The views surrounding every window are spectacular from endless ocean scenes to green lush mountains. Armando, his wife Marianne and their delightful daughter Sabrina are the most perfect hosts. From candle lit dinners with the highest quality food and presentation to the full table of breakfast delights we just could not get through if we tried. And we tried! Thank you for making our anniversary celebration a truly memorable occasion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful place for a special occasion - superb hosts, great food and an amazing setting. Very private guest quarters with generous facilities and a stunning view of sunrise and sea to wake to. Private quarters are accessed from generous, dining, sitting and conservatory spaces, all with spectacular views of the sea and surrounding farmland. The Guesthouse is beautifully designed, constructed and decorated with quality materials and fittings. Armando and Marianne pay meticulous attention to every detail, from furnishings to food. this ensures guests are relaxed and welcome. Highly recommended as a wonderful place to stay, especially for a 50th anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful long weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cheerful and warm greeting from our hosts met us on arrival. Passing into their home through a spectacular dining area, sumptuous lounge and crossing the moat to our secluded private guest room, we were entranced. Nothing could go wrong and we felt we could indulge and luxuriate perfectly. Another treat awaited us from the cuisine, adapted with Jenn’s choices and exquisitely prepared. We ate, drank, slept and lounged contentedly and enjoyed wonderful conversation even though a wintery storm raged outside. Thank you. We left uplifted and relaxed. Your home was the canvas on which we painted our retreat.

It's in a stunning location and the story behind it is amazing. Built by the owners Armando, Marianne and their family, it's a haven of peace, beauty and fantastic company. We absolutely recommend a stay here - you are offered privacy or company (as you wish), stunning scenery, exceptional cuisine (Armando and family are highly accomplished chefs & patissiers) and top quality accommodation. Every detail has been thought of.
We enjoyed a couple of amazing days with our hosts and we continue to keep in contact. It's a family business with a family feel and we would return in a heart beat. We cannot recommend Bay Guesthouse highly enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As you turn away from the road and wend your way up to the stunning Bay Guesthouse you know you are heading to somewhere special. You climb up and up until you pass through the gates to be greeted by a spectacular vista, the Pacific Ocean stretching on forever in front of you, the Hawkes Bay coastline to each side and the beautiful hills behind. The location of this Luxury Lodge is hard to do justice with mere words.
The lodge itself is another delight. An architectural study in light and space, with wrap-around decks, landscaped gardens and a thoughtfully designed water-feature separating the main building and the guest accommodation. The building maximizes the location with huge windows double glazed windows throughout, meaning you never forget how wonderful this setting is, whilst also maintaining a warm and quiet environment. The rooms are beautifully appointed to an exceptional standard, creating an indulgent yet comfortable and homely feel. The master bedroom treats you to a 5 star show every sunrise. The ever so inviting bathtub leaves you with only one hardship, do you watch a movie or just stare in to the fading light over the sea.
Your hosts are the most welcoming, warm, lovely people you will ever meet. So kind and caring, you would not find better hospitality anywhere.
The Bay Guesthouse is a place you will never forget but may look back on and wonder if it was a dream, too good to be true.
