What does this mean for Bay Skate?
For everyone’s comfort and safety when visiting our facility, please:
Mask – Wear a mask if you are 12 years and over and are not skating - unless you hold an exemption card.
Scan – Scan in using the NZ COVID Tracer app or record your visit with the venue.
Pass – A vaccination pass is not required for general admission to Bay Skate. If Bay Skate is holding an event at the venue, vaccination passes will be required for anyone over 12 years, and staff will need to sight your My Vaccine Pass.
Be kind – Most customer facing staff will be wearing masks unless they are not required to for safety reasons, or have an exemption. Please be kind to our staff who are doing their best to offer our full range of services at Bay Skate.

Bay Skate, Napier Skate Park
Bay Skate is a multi-use, world-class roller sports park on Napier's Marine Parade. It caters for skateboarding, roller derby, bmx, scootering, inline hockey, roller-skating, artistic skating and rollerblading. The park has a flat rink, wooden ramp section and concrete bowls.
Bay Skate is all about letting the good times roll. It's about having fun with your friends, learning new tricks, refining your skills, maybe a bit of competition and a few challenges, but all within a positive, safe and supportive environment. Blast the ramps, shred the bowls or spin the rink, it's up to you. If it's got wheels and you can strap them on or ride it, you're in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool skate park, you can brink skates, boards, bikes, and scooters. You do have to pay for it though, and it seems to be a bit small to hang around for long, so may not be something you want to pay for. But still when you first go, it's very fun, and very new and safe. (Just note for those with young kids that the music isn't monitored and there can be some very bad language from time to time). Go check it out!
