The original shop was an unexpected gem but the new shop is much brighter. The service is still fast and friendly. I would happily recommend both of these shops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time dining here & it has a steady flow of diners. There were plenty of choices to pick from on the Menu, but at my Sissie's recommendation, we had the Special Menu Set of 5 dishes, at around $18 each, was excellent value. We couldn't finish it all, so the friendly staff gave us a couple of takeaway containers, which the mokopuna thoroughly enjoyed later. No frills, no fuss dining in the Heart of the CBD & great value for your dollar ✨?✨

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the staff work hard to prepare good quality food and offer good service. The new deal for two people are really worth the money - rice, stirred vegetables, 2 choices of bbq, sweet and sour fish and soup/tea. Really fresh ingredient and decent portion. Not easy to maintain a business in city centre during the pandemic and they apparently try really hard to look after customers.
I wish more people can support them and give it a go. You won’t regret!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The peking duck is mainly skin and bones with little meat, with the skin not being crispy and the meat having little flavour. The pancakes were inedible - they weren't cooked through and tasted like cardboard.
The chicken however was nice, the menu is extensive and wait times for food was very short.
Definitely not worth coming back to though, the food quality is very poor for the price.

The portion is big enough to feed two people at the same time.
Only, because of the living cost is getting higher and higher, no more fee soup provided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ went in yesterday and ordered half a duck for i believe $30. tiniest portion ever, it was not half a duck. there was no leg or anything. just scraps. tasted nice, but the portion was unbelievable for the price. i can go to my favorite restaurant and get a huge bowl of Laksa AND duck for $13.80. you tell me which looks better, quality and portion wise. (picture w the veges is BBQ duck cafe). would not recommend if you are hungry.
