★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was looking for a affordable lunch in the 1hr break between lectures and saw Sunrise Cafe. Was recommended the chicken noodle soup that could be prepared quickly. Paid $5.80 and got the largest bowl of noodle soup I had seen! Highly recommend for affordable and delicious eats

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rating only ⭐⭐⭐ as the service wasn't so friendly. However, the portion/quantity they serve is definitely worth the price! The food is not very tasty or 100% authentic (but filling). The Chicken Laksa Noodle Soup wasn't tasting as good as I get from other restaurants in Auckland/CBD (yes, those restaurants charge more than double Sunrise Cafe price though).

Worst thing was, everyone who came after me already had and finished their meal.
Not recommended.

Need to go before 12.00 if you need a table to enjoy your food, once you ordered and need to add extra, sorry you will hv to wait in a queue for your turn and get your food after 10 mins. They are not like other cafe where you can order then have your food and pay when your finished. You pay as you ordered. The food is worth the money and we have this pork stomach soup very yummy and enough for 4 person to enjoy. Value for money.

Despite it's an old fashioned one with it's long history in the business there are so many goodies listing on the menu.
Especially Cantonese hotpot, inexpensive but super delicious!
Lunch special $8.8 you get a black pepper beef rice. It's cheap but don't worry it doesn't mean the quality goes down, tasty as it should be.
See?!
I even forgot to take pictures of the foods we ordered today.
Anyway, just go and try you will definitely like it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one small traditional restaurant. Be advised that if visiting lunch hour you might have to wait for a long time. Took around 20 minutes for my order to arrive.
But the service and quality of food is excellent. Tremendous value for money. Paid $5.80 for lunch special chicken Noodle soup and got a massive bowl of noodles soup ? with a mountain of chicken. Good Lunch
