Amazing amount of food at such a great price! This place is our local to go to when we want a great feed! The service is always so friendly and fast! When you arrive you get hot tea and a bowl of their yummy duck broth soup with bits of duck and veggies. Your meal comes out fast and you have a feast before your eyes! Great quality and we are always so full and completely satisfied when we leave. Thank you for your amazing food and friendly smiles! See you again soon!

β β β β β Have not been to Auckland for years. This is still the best crispy pork rice in the world to me even though its via Ubereats. 5 star hotel's crispy pork may be more delicate and presentable but this has it all, the tenderness of the meat, flavours and most importantly, every piece is crispy perfect. The complimentary soup is good too. The only thing missing today was that I didn't request for chilli.... Will continue to support whenever I come to Auckland.

β β β β β This is the second time I've had lunch here. Lovely welcoming service from the lady who owns the shop. Complimentary soup was delicious. Ordered Chicken and ginger porridge and a plate of chinese cabbage (wong bok) stirfried with chicken and tofu. Both were very generously portioned and very flavourful. The stirfried vege dish keeps you wanting more, with a delicious wok-fire aroma. Will be back again to try more of their dishes.

β β β β β This place has such an extensive menu and everything looks so yummy. Price is reasonable as well. I had their 2 meat combo with BBQ pork and duck. Paired perfectly with their home made plum sauce. Will definitely be going back to try some more dishes.
I also did a takeaway of just plain BBQ pork meat cause it was so good.

β β β β β I had been craving prawn wonton soup for ages and saw a good review on the Lazy Susan FB page for BBK King Restaurant.
Was really disappointed with the dish overall ?. You only get 6 wontons and it's sitting in an unflavorful broth that tastes like water (not even stock). I had to add a bunch ofnsoy sauce, salt, sweet sauce , chilli etc to get any flavour in there.
The wontons themselves are YUM though. They have a big chunk of prawn inside each one which is nice.
The lady serving was also really lovely and dining in comes with a soup to start (this had way more flavour than the wonton soup! Don't know why they don't use this as the base instead) and hot tea which is really nice.
Price was pretty steep for what you get and I ended up eating just the wontons, a little bit of noodles and leaving a mostly full bowl behind.
Wouldn't come back here again.

β β β β β WOW free Soup & Tea what a bonus, we ordered 3 different meats Roast Chicken & Duck, and BBQ Pork on rice shared, it was more than enough. Located just off Queen Street. Decor was ok with a few adjustments, but the hospitality was very welcoming & warm, I would definitely dine here again solo or with a friend.

β β β β β One of the best place in the CBD for Chinese food. The owners are really friendly and you get a bowl of soup and Chinese tea as soon as you sit down. My favorites are the roast duck and roast pork with rice. Another gem is the roast duck laksa noodle (photo below) which is to die for and possibly the only restaurant in NZ to offer this combination! And speaking as a Malaysian living in NZ, that laksa broth is authentic! Highly recommended.
