★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a few rooms overnight, requested for extra towels and the male owner/manager blew up about it. I would not recommend this motel for families or even if you are passing through, id pay that little bit extra to stay at a more expensive hotel just for the fact that he is so rude, like seriously what is an extra towel. You also cant have anyone else come and visit you if you are staying there or they will charge you extra. The motel is also over priced, it looks dingy and old for the amount you pay for it. Its also not clean, if their rooms were audited for cleanliness it would not pass and watching them clean rooms in thongs (jandals) says it all about their WHS standards. I am even going to add that the male owner or manager, or whoever he was, walked in the room WITHOUT KNOCKING whilst my sister was in a towel just getting out of the shower. I was completley outraged at the level of unproffessionalism and incompetence of the staff and the rudeness that we had to endure in only a short amount of time, it was the worst experience I had whilst in NZ. I would not recommend anyone to stay here especially if you are from overseas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came super early but not a problem. The reception lady was lovely and extremely helpful. The unit was handy as I bought a car and trailer. It was clean and tidy, I don't believe the photos on the website do it justice. Much, much better than the lodge I came from. I noticed that they provide meals to truck drivers, as I was working away from home, I asked if I could get tea like the truckies....they obliged. Lovely, lovely place. Will be back next week! Yay..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beds are the saving grace. Very comfortable in both rooms. Although we could have done with a king size but room too small for that. Quite noisy from traffic and train? but we were tired so slept ok. Rooms were a bit tired and dated. Nice to have a little full oven and most things we needed including large coffee cups but kitchen is cramped and paint was peeling. Kitchen cupboard handles needed fixing. The bathroom was updated some time ago so needs it again . Price should reflect age and condition. Over priced for what it was. Soap dispensers empty. Curtains mouldy or marked from mould as shown in photo. Ranch slider proved difficult to lock due to it not lining up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent ish room. Bit dingy and outdated. From reading other reviews and my own experience the owners seem to like to find any way to charge extra. Understandably I left the room messy the first day, but explained to them my situation. The were very rude in their customer service. Not professional at all and wouldn't speak to me directly, rather involving my parents that didn't even stay at their motel. Wouldn't recommend at all.
