★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pay in advance if you want to stay here. I have been fortunate to have travelled and stayed in hotels in every continent, but South America and Antarctica. But only in New Zealand have I been expected to pay in advace for my accommodation and one of these experiences was at Bella Vista Motel, Wanaka recently. It's s shame that this suspicion of one's integrity impunes on an otherwise fine and well situated motel. But for this negative experience I would be posting five stars. So by all means stay here, if having your good credit doubted does not offend you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful location. Just 2 things to check the lamp in the right hand side of the bed and fluorescent light above the basin were not working in Room 15. Otherwise a pleasant stay. The toilet in Room 7 kept filling all night so quite noisy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Bella Vista Wanaka. It is in a great central location with plenty of parking. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room couldn't be faulted. It was super clean and had everything we needed to have a great stay. I would definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend Bella Vista Wanaka to anybody who is heading to Wanaka.
