★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such an amazing and cute chalet! They are small, however the space was incredibly cosy, warm and great value for money. The every day views right outside your doorstep of the surrounding mountains and lake are breathtaking. It's about a 5 minute walk across a large oval/park to the main street on the waterfront, so still close to everything. The girl at reception was so attentive, check-in process was incredibly easy, she gave us a map and amazing restaurant recommendations too. She also went the extra mile to ensure the heaters in our rooms were turned on at sundown if we happened to be out so we'd return to a warm chalet after dinner. Would recommend this place to any small group of friends or family wanting to spend time in Wanaka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did not have the pleasure of staying at Wanaka View Motel, but I did get a taste of what their hospitality is like. I accidentally booked my hotel for the wrong date and Pip was amazing in agreeing to refund 50% of my stay and assisting in helping me rebook my stay with them for the correct date. Unfortunately, the hotel is fully booked for the dates I am going to be in town, but I was still very appreciative of how nice and accommodating the staff was. I hope I can stay here in the future. Thanks, Pip!

No views from basement yet we knew that would be the case.
The front room have great views as long as there are no cards parked in the parking bays, and you don't mid everyone looking in your windows.
Basement room Large, yet no screen on windows so prevents ventilation at night or when you are not in the room.
Gas Hot Water and when it runs out and owner not on property you get a cold shower ! (a number to call yet no answer called 4 times over 90 minutes) 0- when you make a complaint she found a way to twist it to be our fault - go figure!
Bed is new yet, it's one of those beds where the mattress rolls to centre. ( not to our liking)
No area to wash supplied dishes, fill up your water bottle or kettle. we were told after departure we could have used laundry however there is a notice on laundry with opening hours and rules of used, no mention basement unit can use as that their leisure.
Plumbing pipes sing VERY LOUD from previous reviews this has been on going for a year now, even know Owner has replied to most complaints as it;'s been fixed.
Over all our visit to Wanaka was amazing, yet there are load of other places to stay I'd give this one a miss and book a place that cares about their clients comforts. This owner cares more about getting you booked in and fend for your self, She will claim there is a phone call when ever you have an issue, which is great if she answers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, you could not ask for a better spot. Gorgeous view of the mountains and lake front right from the motel, and an easy quick 2-5 minute walk to the Main Street of Wanaka. Easy parking too makes it a breeze for parking the truck after a day up the mountain. Clean, cosy and great value would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my second time staying in Wanaka and I really wished I'd stayed here the first time. It's a 2 minute walk to town and same to the lake.
Arrangements were made for my late check in and the room was beautifully presented and extremely clean with all appropriate cooking items and utensils. The bed was so comfy and the shower nice and hot. The use of the bikes was also a great perk. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host and thoroughly recommend Wanaka View Motel. Next time I come to Wanaka I will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The receptionist was extremely nice! We are here on holiday from the US and booked our engagement photos around Wanaka Lake. The stay here was fantastic. Good water with good water pressure in the shower. Private bathroom, comfortable bed. It was perfect place with an outstanding view. This was the best stay we've had since we flew over a week ago. There is a small kitchen area with a stove to cook which we used and worked fantastic. Heating system was nice and large hot water heater with plenty of hot water for a nice shower. Big beautiful windows with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. The room was ready for us before we expected which really made our stay enjoyable as we had plenty of time to get ready for our photos. Would recommend to anyone staying in Wanaka. When we come back on holiday, this will definitely be where we stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was amazing. It had perfect heating, perfect price to value, a TV with Netflix running perfectly. It was located in close proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and many other conveniences. It was also relatively close to the ski stations making it extremely convenient for transportation and the ski room itself was majestic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an awesome 5 days at this motel over a busy Easter weekend . It’s in a superb location to central Wanaka and the shops and restaurants . Pip our host was extremely helpful and even ran us to a couple of places to help out and loaned us their family bikes! Room was very comfortable and bathroom was excellent . Would def stay again abs recommend to all . Thanks so much Pip
