★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das letzte Wegstück ist nicht zu unterschätzen, steil und steinig. Der Weg ist gut ausgeschildert und größtenteils gut ausgebaut. Die Aussicht vom Gipfel lohnt sich bei gutem Wetter auf jeden Fall.
 The last stretch is not to be underestimated, steep and rocky. The path is well signposted and mostly well developed. The view from the summit is worthwhile in good weather in any case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very rewarding hike to the top, I started at One mile car park and hiked up One Mile Hiking track to meet up with the Ben Lomond track at 5 am. Currently the One Mile track is closed however if you are an experienced tramper with a good head lamp you can make it through safely before continuing up the very well looked after Ben Lomond track up to the saddle. From there to the summit the trail get steeper to an intermediate level of difficulty with small step, rock sections and shale rock. Once you summit it is very worth it, I was lucky enough to make it up on a clear day and meet some friendly local Kea parrots. I climbed up and down with a miniscus tear due to previous hikes and it took 7.5 hours with an extended stop at the summit. Worth it though as it was the last hike of my trip.
