About BestStart Bay Kindy
We are a New Zealand-owned charity with preschools, kindergarten (kindy), Montessori and early-childhood home-based services nationwide.
BestStart has over 260 early childhood centres from Whangarei to Invercargill. All our centres use the New Zealand curriculum Te WhΔriki, preparing children for their formal education at school. Our trained teachers support children to belong, thrive and achieve through the world-recognised philosophy of learning through play.
Our commitment to every parent ensures every child is cared for and supported in a warm, friendly and positive environment. We have excellent staff-to-child ratios, with qualified and caring teachers, quality equipment, toys and a safe and attractive learning environment.

β β β β β We chose this centre when we moved to Tauranga because the staff and facilities made us feel at home right away. My son loved it and was prepared for a smooth transition to school. I now have a daughter who attends the centre where she enjoys lots of activities and lots of teacher time. I love that my I can see what my daughter is doing during the day with regular updates online. Highly recommend. Thanks team for everything you do for our tamariki ?
