About BestStart Maich Road
We are a New Zealand-owned charity with preschools, kindergarten (kindy), Montessori and early-childhood home-based services nationwide.
BestStart has over 260 early childhood centres from Whangarei to Invercargill. All our centres use the New Zealand curriculum Te WhΔriki, preparing children for their formal education at school. Our trained teachers support children to belong, thrive and achieve through the world-recognised philosophy of learning through play.

β β β β β My husband and I only have high praises for Maich Road Best Start kindergarten. We love how they have a lot of different activities that cater to each childβs interest. The staff are all very friendly and I feel that our son is in safe hands. Our son needs special care and attention which has been taken care by them and would want to thank MS. AMY and a big thank you to MS. KOMAL especially for all her efforts and seeking help from the ministry.
The premises has a nice big outdoor play area and there is always a range of activities for the kids. I like how they encourage the kids to build meaningful interpersonal relationships, always reminding them about the importance of good manners like sharing, taking turns & saying please & thank you, to always be respectful and kind to everyone. Thanks a lot Maich Road Best Start Kindergarten team for all your hard work, love and effort! We know how much he loves and enjoy being there. Would highly recommend.

β β β β β So far in regards to experience at the centre- we have had great support from the Centre Manager at all times and any action required has been taken promptly. On a point of our son at the centre- he has developed new skills and enhancement of great attitude needed to assist him for Primary School.

β β β β β ABC Manurewa was the first childcare provider we tried, and now is the only one we will ever use.
The whole place is warm and inviting. The facilities are great, especially with the 3 separate rooms that cater to different age groups. Each has its own large outdoor play area, and a variety of activities are set up daily. They teach routine and they provide nutritious meals, however the best part of ABC is the staff. All the teachers are welcoming, are always friendly and you can see the bond they have with the children.
We have been with ABC since August 2009 and have had four children attend, two of which are currently still there. ABC Manurewa are and have been a big part in our childrens lives. Our eldest was barely talking but very energetic. Teachers provided a range of activities to stimulate her and the many songs they taught helped develope her speech. Our son was very quiet and kept to himself in class, but with the encouragement of teachers, he slowly came out of his shell, which we believe helped with his transition to school. Our younger two enjoy their time at daycare, have made many friends and experienced lots of things.
This is the place for a child to explore, play and learn with children their age and we whole heartedly recommend this daycare.

The centre is awesome and has the best staff that is experienced to care for our little ones in the best way . They did not only cared for my son but also provided me with support and motivation to pursue my own study .
