★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately there is nothing Big about Big boy takeaways.
Ordered the chicken and cheese burger for 4.80 amd got two miniscule pieces of chicken and almost no cheese. Lettuce, tomato amd sauces were also barely there. I gave them a second chance and ordered the cheeseburger, yes a better price at 3.50 but this is also reflected in the fact there is almost no cheese or anything else in the burger. Wont be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chips were a bit hit and miss, ok one day and brilliant the next. I did however have the nicest piece of snapper, crispy batter and perfectly cooked fish, small but tasty. I don't recommend the burgers though, very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best chips! i like their savoury salt too. Fish is always fresh (we always get the gurnard) with crispy batter. They make their own springrolls, chunkier filling than most, very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting. Scallops were not even scallops. At best they were sting ray. Terakihi was disgusting. Basicky aviid this place at all cost. There hygiene rating is an “A” but I can’t see how. The food I got went in the bin. Picture is what they call a scallop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered for 8 with a selection of fish, a hot dog, squid rings, scallops and $10 chips. Most of the order was a good standard the only issue we found was the scallops was just batter and $10 chips barely served 8 people which was a surprise

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really good place for cheap old school takeaways. Dirt cheap prices for everything and good food. Not much of these family owned cheap takeaways are left in the city tbh. I wish they'd open till late.
