★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been so disappointed and frustrated at the appalling customer service and communication from big save furniture Dunedin. Currently waiting for a refund as our order never arrived/was accidentally cancelled? The initial excuse we were given was that they had no access to a computer system, couldn't contact head office as the number was disconnected due to excessive phonecalls, orders were closed off randomly etc etc. Eventually phonecalls to the Dunedin store went constantly unanswered to the point where I had to go in store twice to arrange a refund which I am still waiting for. I have sent emails to both the addresses provided on bigsaves website but these go unanswered. As we wait for our refund we consider what other options we have. Would never recommend big save furniture to anyone and will stick to our regular reliable furniture suppliers from now on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a wholeheartedly horrible experience with big save furniture:
It took four days shy of a month longer than the date we ordered my bed for (part of) my order to arrive. We were told that it was stuck at a warehouse, that they thought I was going to pick my order up (despite paying for delivery), and several times that they would sort out the issues and deliver my order yet I had to go into the store and ask them myself after having to sleep on the floor for a week.
I have been told by my family and friends to complain but I'd like to think that mistakes are made, but my order arrived today and it was missing the base. We spent $599 on a product and only received half of it.
I know I'm never going to shop here again, and I don't think anyone else should too

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We will never shop at Big Save again. The service is bad they sell you stuff they have over sold, 6 weeks we waited for an item they keep telling us it was on it's way to finally be told they don't it in any of the stores but we could choose something else, stupidly we did & was promised it was in stock it never arrived on their promised date. It then took then over 2 weeks to refund us. I was the one always having to ring to find out what was happening.

Staff were incredibly helpful, and very apologetic when their systems weren't working as intended, immediately working on a solution.
Many of the issues here are corporate problems, and the in store team is a blessing for how they deal with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ have never been in the shop before and wont be returning. ordered a bed on 22 april and still waiting. they said it would be here 29th.
have emailed numerous times to head office and they only replied to the first email asking for number.
no communication from shop ive been ringing and asking even when they have said they would ring back later that day and still nothing.
yes i get that covid puts a halt on things but it doesnt take 3 weeks to come down from north island, we could have driven there and back quicker
have rung and asked for refund from local shop and they are processing it.
ordered another bed from local place online last night and its being delivered today to us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service I have EVER encountered!!!!! Ordered a bed on 23rd April. Told it would be delivered on 25th May. Have contacted the Dunedin store and told I would be called back twice. NEVER happened!!! Have emailed their Head Office, NO response!!! Contacted them on their Facebook page, NO response!!! This company has NO understanding of customer service. Take the money and then NOTHING!! Based on my experience I would warn people away from using this company. If this rating system had negative stars I would be using that. They certainly don't deserve even 1 star!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are lovely at this store, but 7 months after ordering I do not have an ETA on when I will receive my sofa bed. The phone number sends you to an answering machine that is never answered. Would currently only recommend shopping at Big Save if you're purchasing an item they have in stock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a couch in January 2022, it is now June 2022…. I am still waiting on the couch, would not recommend ordering from big save at all, 6 months to still be waiting for the couch is beyond a joke. The staff are fantastic though, have been doing the best they can. However the problem seems to be coming from upper management as they do not seem to have their act together with starting new systems with out proper due diligence because in April I got a text to say I would be getting my couch, called the store to arrange the time, the lovely staff told me it’s still in the north island??? Overall I would highly recommend the staff but this is a terrible company, will not be ordering from big save again.
