★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time experiencing this place and not sure if they’re always like this or if it was a once off but they said pizza would be ready in 10-15min and it took at least 30 (fine if that’s how long it takes but say the actual wait time, or perhaps they forgot my order). Either way it meant waiting around for a while instead of just walking around the shops til it’s ready. The pizza itself was undercooked and chewy and the sauce tastes like the tomato sauce from a Heinz spaghetti can. Overall disappointing size (and taste) when you’re paying $20 for a pizza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnificent pizza in a lovely setting surrounded by busy honey bees on the sage, oregano and lavender flowers. The warm-hearted and friendly Italian owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome, and to explain the processes behind his pizza-making. (Shhh secret: only the best ingredients, and then keep it simple!) Finished up with some gelato, also wonderful. Best pizza in the Christchurch area.

I never get bloated from it. The way the dough is done is just beautiful and delicious.
