★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From all the liquor stores around the centre of Taupo this is the only one I came back to. If you want to find a great variety of Malbecs (Argentinian best grapes), this is the place! I recommend the Sótano Winery wines. So good! And you can't get those in many places. Congrats to the owner of this liquor store!! You are the somelier's hero!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close of business is listed as 10pm. We arrived at 9.25pm, parched, weary and in need of a refreshing beverage as a much needed tonic after the rigours of the day.
It was closed.
Mortified we trudged across the road to PaknSave where we were greeted with open arms.
