β β β β β Edit -2 stars. Came back recently to get some snow chains sorted as this shop offers to order them for you. I had a different member of the staff which seemed incredibly bored of my request and not interested at all in me purchasing them through Bowater.
Purchased roof racks for my car. Not only did staff help me to figure out which ones I need, but ordered and installed it as well for a good price. Very satisfied with the work and great costumer service throughout the purchase. Thanks again

Their service team always give you a quote and it's always been correct.
The work they do has been great.
We think it's worth going to them as they specialise in this brand and know the engines inside and out.
They have their expert mechanics go for a test drive and just by listening they have always correctly identified the issues.
Thank you Bowater Toyota.

β β β β β We took our van in to get a timing belt change as our timing belt light had come on and we were about to sell the van so wanted to get it sorted first.
When we picked it up, the ignition point had dropped so much that it was difficult to even get the key in and the timing belt light had not been turned off.
We booked it in to be sorted out the following week.
Before that time came, the potential buyer had asked us to get it checked with AA so we did.
The mechanic there found that whoever had previously done a job (Bowater Toyota) had recently snapped the fan and then left it on top of the engine.
We took the van back in and they denied having done it, claiming that it must have been done by whoever did the previous work on it. Unfortunately, it was them who had done the previous service/work on the vehicle so it was definitely them.
They said that they would do the rest of it and then not charge us.
We didn't have a vehicle for 2 days and were not offered a courtesy car.
When I went to pick it up, they tried to charge me.
I did not want to pay for work which was their fault.
After a while, they agreed not to charge me but asked me to leave.
I then asked for the invoice/receipt of the work and was denied it.
I was told that it was their form and I could not have it.
I asked for a photocopy and was told no.
I asked again and, after whiting out any charges, it was photocopied and I was given a copy.
As I left, I was told that I was not welcome back there again.

β β β β β I was on a three week South Island road trip and near the end there was a squeaking noise coming from the drivers side wheel of my LC100. I figured it was a low brake pad warning but wanted to make sure. I called the local (Nelson) Toyota dealer and Mike said heβd take a look for me. He did and confirmed my suspicion - which took a weight off my mind for the end of the trip. I was also able to check out the new LC300. It is an awesome vehicle but the lack of a split tailgate is a major disappointment. Please fix that Toyota!

β β β β β Recently bought a used vehicle from this dealership, THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I MADE in my 48 years on earth...... NEVER EVER WILL I RECOMMEND THEM OR MAKE USE OF THEM AGAIN....... TOYOTA NZ, HOPE YOU TAKE NOTE. THEY SHOULD LEARN THEIR STAFF THAT DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS TO REPLY ON E-MAILS AND NOT TO BE AFRAID WHEN ASKED DIFFICULT QUESTIONS.
Wish there was a -100 star icon.......

β β β β β Great service. Seems a little expensive (servicing). Access to courtesy car is nice, but not sure why they charge for it? Wouldn't they be trying to sell u another Toyota?

β β β β β Wonderful and excellent customer service, I just forgot the name of the person who served us was very friendly and supportive. My next vehicle would surely be a Toyota. I encourage you to go there and experience it yourself, even if you don't want to buy a new vehicle after your experience with this person you would change your mind.
