Brian Baker Instrumentation Services has a great deal of depth and experience within our organisation our team consisting of trades persons certified in Electrical, Instrumentation and Electrical Inspection. Half of our staff having advanced trade qualifications in these areas. We currently operate with a base staff level of 20 and escalate up to 50 people with casual staff and sub-contractors to meet our client needs. Our average gross turnover per year is $3-4million dollars.

A high level of safety awareness is ingrained within our work force, staff are trained in Confined Space Entry, Elevated work Platforms, Working at Heights, Permit to Work systems, Breathing Apparatus, First Aid and forklift drivers. All our staff have a very high level of skill with the maintenance CMMS tools around planning, implementing and setting up preventive maintenance plans etc.

Our back ground is in petrochemical I&E maintenance of all areas of Instrumentation & electrical, process analytical, DCS, SSDS, general lighting and power to MV/HV equipment. And we have a very high level of experience with large scale turnarounds and shutdowns.

Along with this standard work we have a 24/7 call out services for our clients covering Fiscal metering and Gas analyser and station I&E maintenance. We are also recognised by our clients as GC overhaul and design/build/commissioning experts of Fiscal metering and Gas analyser facilities.

Five years ago we took our knowledge of GC maintenance and established a division that is dedicated to Gas & Liquid Fiscal metering systems. We now have long term contracts from 3-5 years with Methanex, Greymouth Petroleum, Origin, Westside and Todd Energy providing routine maintenance of GC and CO2 analyser coriolis, ultrasonic, Flow turbine and orifice plate fiscal metering systems to comply MPOC large and small station standards covering a total of 24 separate stations.
