About Brooklyn Community Centre
The Brooklyn Community Centre is managed by the Brooklyn Community Association (BCA). Whereas most community centres are owned by Wellington City Council the Brooklyn Community Centre is owned, run and maintained by the BCA. The Wellington City Council owns and maintains the Community Centre grounds and play equipment at 18 Harrison Street.
The BCA is made up of a voluntary Management Committee elected by the community at an Annual General Meeting in September each year. The Management Committee is responsible for governance and policy issues and employs the paid staff. The staff are responsible for the day to day running of the Brooklyn Community Centre and Childcare Programmes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hall is awesome! We've celebrated two 5th birthday parties here now. Easily accommodated 75 people and the kids always enjoy the playground outside. Euan was great to communicate with and made everything easy. I would definitely use this hall again and will recommend to friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love visiting here with the family! There is so much to do. Swings, monkey bars, slides and more for children of different ages to play with, and it can keep them entertained for hours. The inside of the community centre is great too! There is many bathrooms, a big kitchen and a huge hall which many children like to play basketball or cricket in. There is a variety of sofas in the centre for parents and children alike to sit on and enjoy a board game, of which there is many (these are also for children of all ages, from snakes and ladders to trivial persuit) these board games are great for rainy days. It's close proximity to the Brooklyn library and the bus stops make it accessible for people from further away and children who need somewhere to read their newly issued book. The centre can be booked for parties, clubs and classes.
