★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hired a truck with a tail lift off Budget rentals on Saturday 20th July 2019 11am. I have hired before off Budget and these trucks come with a remote for the tailift. The rental forms took 20 minutes to sign up and the truck was parked hard up against the garden. I tripped over a tree stump skinned all my knees and arms have a very sore swollen leg still whilst trying to assess the vehicle condition before driving it. We drove the truck to our address for moving and the tailift remote was in poor condition and had been sitting in a puddle of water. We managed to get it down and up once and then the tailift went down without warning with my wife on it. We were stuck in the middle of our right of way for 3 hours with the tailift not working whilst we waited for it to be fixed and on the concrete unable to move the truck. I explained the problem on the phone and a mechanic was sent 1st and then the auto electrician arrived a while later. We were offered a cargo van which was too small and had no tailift which we turned down. The remote for the tailift was not operational for our whole hire. No discount was offered instead at 11 o'clock Sunday I started to get pounded with calls for the truck to be returned. No discount has been offered to date. We had to have one person operating the tailift from the ground level which lead to a very delayed difficult move. I added the lost hire time onto the hire and had the truck back at 1.45pm. We worked until 2am Sunday morning to keep our schedule with our rental property. No apology was made by Budget and no manager has contacted me to date and I still don't have a receipt for the actual final bill. Also the inside cab light didn't work and the truck had a terrible rattle coming from the engine and ripped car seat covers. After using this Budget branch for three times before their standards have slipped from what they used to be and their fleet is 5 years old now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got charged more than $100 extra and will only show up after a week on the credit card. Emailed and tried to call the customer service and will make you wait for almost an hour to get answered. Terrible customer service. Lack of communication between staffs. Don't deal with this company as you'll get ripped off from their hidden fees! Still did not get the extra charge up until now!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We waited an hour and a half for a mechanic to show up to fix the tail lift and he then took another hour to fix the truck. We ended up having no tail lift which made out move extremely stressful and in the end we finished moving at 10pm because of this. No refund, no apology. Very upset and don't use these people at all. They were expensive too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute Mickey Mouse outfit. Tried calling about 10 times trying to ask a question of course there was no answer. Contacted the call centre who had trouble getting in touch with this branch as well. After dozens of phone calls and a few emails, I ended up having to drive to the airport just to sort this out. When I arrived no one was working but I used the phone on the counter and by divine intervention someone actually picked up the phone hooray. Would not recommend at all car was gutless too and struggled to make it up even the smallest of hills. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
