The Bugger cafe has a strong presence in Thames but you'll also find our cafes in Tairua (THE PEPE CAFE). People know us because of our delicious Coffee but Bugger Cafe is much more than just Awesome coffee. We also offer a large variety of sweets including cakes, slices, muffins and biscuits.

J	Jas Bull on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has a cool aesthetic, but it was very disappointing. The chips were so underdone, pale, soft, with no crunch at all. The seasoning was good, but there was very little of it (see photo). Needed lots of salt, and even then tasted bad. On top of that, we had to wait almost 30 mins for each chip bowl (we ordered 2) which is way too long and cut into our journey time. We grabbed a fork to use from the cutlery cup on the table and it was really dirty (see photo), almost all the knives were, which was really gross. There are also limited vegetarian options. It's getting a 3 star, and not any less, because they gave us a free brownie for making us wait so long for the chips. A nice gesture, showing that the staff are attentive and do care for their customers. If you plan to come here, I recommend something out of the cabinet, rather than on the menu.

S	Sam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been here many times over the years and it just doesn't seem to be as good as it use to. Food was a bit slow coming out even though we were one of the few customers there. Still a fun little place to stop off at but I wouldn't make it my regular.

Should offer sweet chilli sauce as an option with their "big chips". Ketchup and sour cream don't quite fit. Also, no request for vaccine pass. Visit 31/01
