About Burger Wisconsin
The first Burger Wisconsin store opened its doors in the Wellington suburb of Wadestown in 1989.
It was the original NZ gourmet burger store and introduced combinations such as Avocado & Bacon and Camembert & Cranberry to the New Zealand takeaway market. We have been a proudly NZ owned and operated franchise since then, and have grown to 24 stores across the country.
While we’re NZ owned, leading the way for delicious healthy food in the burger market, we pay tribute to the history of great burgers through our name Burger Wisconsin, which reflects Wisconsin, USA’s title ‘Home of the Hamburger’.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Burger Wisconsin has gone down hill. All bun and no filling. Got a beef blue cheese and the was hardly any blue cheese and the patty was extremely thin. Better off going to burger fuel and spending less money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average, fine at best. Staff lacked any character or chat beyond repeating my order. No hello or acknowledgment. Davey Jones (fish onr) was alright. Couldn't taste the coriander mayo and the batter was very crunchy, but nothing BAD or actually unpleasant. Kiwi Classic was fairly alright. Regular fries were that; just regular, but the sweet potato wedges were alright. Wouldn't go back as there's a Burger Fuel just a few m's away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Burger Wisconsin today for lunch after flying into Wellington.
Got a Davy Jones Burger and some potato fries with blue cheese sauce.
The burger was good, a bit of room for improvement though, the fish filets used were a little wet and compromised the structural integrity of the bun.
Fries were amazing. Blue cheese sauce was OK.
Would definitely return to get something different though.
