β β β β β Our group stayed there early February and enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive, and my suite was good, nothing fancy but included everything you need. Good value for money.

β β β β β A truly wonderful and exceptional Gem !!! I stayed at the Burns Lodge for 15 days while vacationing in New Zealand and absolutely fell in love with the place. The price is by far the best around, the employee's are AMAZING and offer very friendly and extraordinarily helpful customer service. Clinton the manager is a great guy in many regards and runs a excellent crew. Sue and Geana were fantastic as were all the staff members !!!!!
The Burns Lodge has a very comfortable, spacious and serene environment which offers lots to explore, as well as two great lounge area's with sofa's, chairs, tables, TV's, fully equipped kitchens and refrigerators for guests to use. The communal bathrooms were always clean and the individually separated toilets and showers ensure privacy. There's a dining hall, chapel, computer room and more, and the excellent WiFi throughout makes checking your emails or playing on the internet in your room a breeze.
It's also ideally located just off the main street in Mosgiel, quiet and very close to supermarkets, shops, gas stations, the highway, cafe's and more and also just a hop, skip and a jump outside Dunedin and the Airport. The world travelers and locals who stay there are a delightfully fun bunch and everyone always seems in a good mood.
Simply put....do yourself a HUGE favor and stay here, this place is magnificently AWESOME and you cant beat the enchanting lodging and fabulous service you receive for the incredible price. I miss it already and will absolutely be back :)

β β β β β Brilliant place to stay. I was here 2 nights after finishing a bike tour of the South Island and it had everything I needed, as well as close access to the main hub of Mosgiel and the airport. Great price as well.

β β β β β Nice large old building, very christian orientated and clean rooms. The rooms themselves are pretty good value, free WiFi and no restrictions or stupid captive portals like most motels. Free breakfast included, and a great atmosphere with locals. Next to a christian school.

β β β β β I booked a room at Burns Lodge because it is close to Dunedin Airport (15 min drive) and I had an early morning departure. I expected Burns Lodge to be similar to a typical airport hotel but I was pleasantly surprised to discover the rich history of the place and the warm hospitality of the staff. Upon check-in, I was given a brochure which describes the heritage of the lodge and includes a map and a list of facilities. Wandering around the lodge and visiting the beautiful chapel and function rooms were half the fun of the stay. There is free towel, free wifi and free breakfast (bread, cereals, fruits), and there is also ample parking outside the lodge. If I visit Dunedin again I would love to stay here again.

β β β β β Nice place. If you want the cleaners going through your bags this is the place to go. Ture I should of been out by 10 my mistake but to have them go through my stuff then ring my boss shows what busy body religious types they are. Great building clean rooms just hide ya stuff

β β β β β Room was clean and staff were friendly...however no sound proofing between rooms/hallway woken up repeatedly could hear toilet flushing from other end of facility. Toilet and shower set up questionable with no separate for men and women, and showers with only a curtain to separate you from other people not lockable. Fine if you want to travel on the cheap but prior knowledge would've helped in decision of venue/type of room paid for. Was not worth the lack of sleep, constant interruptions from other people through door/wall and not feeling comfortable enough to actually shower there.
