Live Backup Software takes a full snapshot of your entire Server including Windows Server, Programs and Data. Having this level of redundancy will give you peace of mind.
This enables the backups to be faster from a server load point of view. Typically if you restore a Server from tape it could take as long as 30 hours to rebuild. You can also restore some data without having to drag out a tape. It DOES require having enough spare hard drive space to store the entire backup on top of the data store already in place on the server. Well worth it.
There is also a caution on fast recovery from a Cloud backup. If the data needs to come down from the Cloud there can be a lot of downtime waiting so sometimes Cloud backups are not the right solution
