★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got some super trousers. $230 for work pants is definitely expensive but they should last forever. They feel super solid.
They were really helpful at the shop, i was between sizes and they just took the pants out the back and modified the button in 2 minutes.
I'll update this reveiw in 3 years and let you know how I got on.
14 month update.
They have just broken in.
16 month update.
Fly has broken.
Worn out over work boot areas
A couple of rips on the thigh.
They are about done I guess, $230÷16months =$14.75 per month
Not to bad but probably the same as buying more pairs of cheaper pants throughout the year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent products, hubby use to wear out a pair of jeans a month! A pair of super trouser lasts him about 8 years and we keep taking them back to repair them as he loves them so much. Cheap to repair and the keep going strong! Customer service is always amazing even when we really shouldn't be repairing them and just buy another pair they still get the job done. There wetweather gear is next to none on the farm and ski field! For only a few extra dollars it outlasts all other farm gear and in the most treacherous conditions we stay dry. Would give a higher rating if possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently purchased two pairs of the Trade Shorts in black. Unfortunately they’re as hard as two planks - beyond anything I ever expected to the point where it’s like walking around in two plastic tubes. However, we read the care instructions and they said they’d soften over time. Wash and wear etc. So hubby did. Unfortunately he’s been wearing them a month and no change. Still stiff as planks and super uncomfortable. I think this goes well beyond wearing them in if he’s uncomfortable every day. So I rang customer service and explained the problem - can we return? No. Now they’re worn we can’t return despite the product basically being unusable and therefore not fit for purpose. Seems like a trap really - on the one hand they advise wash and wear and they’ll soften up, so you do what they say and don’t get the results. But then you’ve done what they’ve said and now they won’t let you return because you’ve washed and worn. Pretty smart eh? Now we have unwearable shorts and super unhelpful “customer service” that won’t allow returns. Brilliant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I not so recently (2015) purchased a pair of the trade super shorts, love them, wore them 50+ hours a week as a rock climbing instructor and then most weekends for DIY and they are still in fantastic condition. I also have a pair of super trousers which I’ve had since 2007 and they’re still going strong! Amazing products which last!
