I visited Japan last year and this reminded me of the brilliant 'mom and pop' places there. Humble but wonderful food - so good I went back the next day for lunch. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was shocked finding such amazing Japanese food in Manurewa. Reason being as I was just in Japan! Plus, I've lived in Manurewa since I was young and it's hard enough getting good Japanese in the central parts of the city. This is a gem, hands down a real winner and you should not hesitate to try. The owners are new to New Zealand and used to live in Japan, Chiba. Real authentic Japanese food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to stop. So cute and home made. It’s incredible food is only second to the feel you receive from sitting down in this quaint corner store of joys. You must visit. The family who run Cafe Koko are truly what makes this place itself. I must suggest the deluxe bento box, and the fresh organic teas they have.
