★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoki was crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside and tasted great! Portion sizes were extremely generous, and service was excellent despite the place being full-on. Curry roll was also great (and was noteworthy for not being too salty as is often the case at other places).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer is not always right, but when you have a sign up like this it raises alarm bells. Been in a few times and I get bad vibe wrt service, not to mention the regular times not even open. Most small takeaway store in small town NZ are open until 9pm on Fri Sat, 7:30pm means you are missing out on regulars. Consistent hours means people know your open and come back.
Hoki was ok, chips we're not great, our order # was not called out and so everything had gotten a little soggy.
I kinda avoid, unless I have a craving
3 stars is generous because it is not the worst but not fantastic, Service is lucky dip.
Btw no american hot dogs what!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I host Te Araroa trail walkers and just about every one of them want to eat fish and chips after eating trail food for days on end.
Last night we purchased fish and chips and ate them on the grass near the Stone Store in Kerikeri.
The food was very yummy and the portions generous. So much the seagulls had a feed too. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty average, chips were over done and expensive. $5 for a scoop which I'm sure online says differently, $2.40 for the tiny little potato fritters. $9 for snapper which I didn't mind cause it was the nicest thing we ordered. Chicken and camembert burger was well below average $14. 2 little crumbed camembert bites in the burger and I wouldn't really call the chicken in the burger a filled. $41 for all that plus 6 onion ring and 5 nuggets. Way over priced and probably the worst fish and chips we've had. Wouldn't go back.
