About Carly Sarten Photography
I’m a wife and mum / step-mum to three boys. Based in Taranaki, New Zealand. I have always loved art and all things creative but my passion for photography really kicked off at high school where I spent most of my time in the darkroom. I went on to study a Bachelor of Design majoring in Photography at Massey University in Wellington, graduating with First Class Honours in 2011. I then went on to become a qualified Secondary School Teacher, teaching Visual Art and Photography for four years before having my first son.
I love the magic of weddings and the journey the day takes you on. I take a great deal of pride in being asked to capture one of the most special days in your life. I don’t do a huge number of weddings per season due to having young children, but I really enjoy working with couples through the planning process and the big day itself.
