Best Campground in New Zealand

M	Max Coleman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parking lot with a washroom and garbage, free water filling tap and a dumping station. What more can you ask for free. Officially, only 10 cars may camp there, but there's no way to tell who got there first so I'm not sure if they say that just there to help reduce numbers. The entire lot was filled, maybe 25 vehicles overnight. Also, there are signs posted saying that only self contained campers may stay there. Us as well as 3-4 other vehicles were not self contained, but it didn't seem to be an issue. Especially since there are washrooms on site. If you're not self contained though, use at your own risk. Fine is $200 if a warden happens to swing through.
J	Jaide Wooler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place to park up for a night, toilet facilities aren’t too bad there is also a cold shower available. However you do get cars coming through constantly to use the bathrooms as expected it’s a public place. Unfortunately some people do come through blasting music in their cars but for a freedom camping spot it’s large enough. 10 camper and are allowed over night between 4pm-10am. Dump station also available here.

We were more than 10 vans even more than 15 i think both nights I stayed here, so I don’t know if this limit is enforced or why it’s there in the first place. Toilets were clean, drinkable water, lovely walk nearby, the cold shower is in a place discreet enough so people would not see you unless they explicitly want to and come like 2 meter close.

Enjoy watching the young ones playing Frisbee golf.. if that's its name. Can walk on beach or pathways everywhere. Seats and quiet spots along the way. Dump station and fresh potable water available
