★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place us great for preschoolers to explore. Our 3 and 4 year old loved going in tiny caves and climbing the smaller rocks. If you're coming from Christchurch you can stop for lunch at Sheffield Pies! A perfect day trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just an hour drive from Christchurch central, There are so many huge rocks on the castle hill point you can go and walk around. Don’t get confused it’s castle hill conversation area which shows in the map.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 10min walk over stone chips road from the highway and free to visit. What a breathtaking scene, with huge amazingly shaped stones seemingly rising up into thin air, all a work of nature. Some parts are quite steep and need some climbing, but you could also just walk on the flat and still take in much of the views and scenery. In my opinion, must-stop/visit along State Highway 73. There is ample parking at the entrance, with a toilet facility as well. Highly recommended!
