About Central City Rentals
I have lived in the Bay of Plenty all my life, and moved to Rotorua to Manage Central City rentals, after 20 years working in Retail and Wholesale Management roles. My experience managing large teams, and big businesses gave me the tools and experience to make the move across to this role smoothly. I feel time management and communication are key, and believe as a business we do this very well, striving to support both our landlords and tenants alike.
I am Paul’s sister in law, he is married to my sister Hayley, and I’m proud to be part of this ‘family’ business. I love being busy, and enjoy the challenges of working in my role. Helping people to find a new home is the most rewarding part of my job.

My agent Shelly Elvin is a wonderful human to deal with, is very compassionate, efficient, responsible and caters where she can within reason to tenants needs - she does go the extra mile and is always clear with her communication.
I love how City Central Rentals are wise responsible and particular with their clients because they have a duty of care they honour both between landlord and tenant(s) which they take seriously and with the current rental landscape they are cautious and understand they need to do right by anyone they deal with. They are also respectful of the environment and practice sustainability and therefore only deal with online applications to save trees, to not be wasteful of paper applications as there are few houses but high demand therefore logically it’s not smart to deal in many paper applications which will end up in the shredding machine. For anyone who doesn’t have internet access or needs extra help filling out their forms....they provide a wonderful alternative at their office premises where they have a computer for potential clients to fill out their paperwork online and will assist with filling out the information and they will even scan all necessary documentation too. I have always have pleasurable experiences with my agent and this agency and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to rent through them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented a property with JC Realty 2016-2019 Shintala was Property Manager throughout. Amazing young woman, very professional and compassionate. Given my call with intent to obtain a contact email address for online Tenancy Portal Tracking Registration, I will not be requiring their Tenancy Services in the future. Shelly the new Property Manager is very rude and has a vulgar attitude. Whether the reason being I mentioned my interest in 'viewing' a property with Tremains Property Rentals onset her antagonistic reception, is not my concern. Paul you missed the opportunity to get me as a client..your refusal to follow-up on my complaint regarding your Property Manager's "disgraceful conduct" and accusing me of miscommunicating her so-called true account, I am absolutely overwhelmed with your tendency to defend her obnoxious behaviour, as if she was your wife. Shame on you both. Please checkout REANZ ACT Section 73 a) "disgraceful conduct" clause..JC Realty Ltd MRIENZ was a licensed real estate company during my term of tenancy with your Family Business. Brush up on your Professional mannerism. Someone with time to play with you may finalize matters. And Shelly thankyou for the one positive aspect of information you disclosed so vehemently. Tremains Property Rentals here I come. If Shintala is with your Company, then you obviously are very Professional and good value people. I seriously wanted to rate you 0 it seems Google has more compassion than you 2 people and myself. So the 1 star is for Shintala and the other ladies whò served your company during my term of tenancy. Oh! It seems we all left when Shelly came on board..she wasn't our intention..or perhaps she was? Oh dear! Who knows! Our Almighty most definitely does.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They started off with a bang when we first moved to them to manage our properties. Was really disappointed in Shelly when she moved her best friends daughter into our property. Bit of a conflict of interest, but went along with it. Been a bad experience ever since. Shelly gets involved with personal matters and makes changes without consulting me as an owner. They manage two of my properties and I working on getting rid of them as property managers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Often rental agencies can leave a bad taste in tenants mouth however after dealing with Shelly and Paul for the past year I can safely say that's not the case here. Both of them were extremely responsive and accommodating during our tenancy and especially the break lease process which was awesome.
