Centre Church is situated in Paraparaumu, Kapiti, north of Wellington, New Zealand. A contemporary church reaching the community and empowering people to realise their potential through the Word and Spirit of God.
About Centre Church
Our Philosophy
Tamariki are at the heart of what we do, therefore supporting each tamariki holistically through manaakitanga embraces our tamariki and their whānau as a whole.
At Centre Kidz, the image of our tamariki is based on the belief that they are competent, inquisitive, active explorers, capable of leading their own learning journeys. We are a mixed age centre that fosters beautiful tuakana-teina relationships. Our tamariki learn to value and respect each other, show empathy, share ideas, and build long lasting relationships that go beyond the centre walls.
Christian values will be woven in a fun and creative way through songs, prayer, bible stories and crafts, and through day to day conversations with our tamariki and their whānau. Christian values taught at home will also be supported and fostered at the centre.
We are committed to working in partnership with whānau and see this as vital, resulting in greater learning outcomes for tamariki. We have an open door policy where whānau are welcome into the centre at any time of the day, and are encouraged to contribute to the programme.
We acknowledge the Treaty of Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa New Zealand, and are committed to embracing our bicultural heritage. We believe that making connections with the community and wider world plays a vital role in supporting the tamariki’s sense of belonging and identity. Kaitiakitanga is of high value to us, promoting the practice of sustainability and care for our environments now and in the future.
We believe that tamariki will leave Centre Kidz with a strong sense of mana, knowing who they are, confident that they are loved and valued, and with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and dispositions to enable them to become lifelong learners.

As the saying goes actions speak louder than words. This was truly demonstrated today by your beautiful act of aroha and kindness. Providing us all at Top Ten Holiday Camp with a beautiful hangi to nourish and replenish our thirsty and broken souls.
Many of us here were absolutely broken beyond imagination from the vicious and evil attack from our government on Wednesday. But the aroha and support from our fellow freedom warriors here that we have just met while staying here, has lifted us out from that dark depressive state to place of pure love peace joy and harmony. And today I felt the heart of Jesus through your generous extremely precious not to mention most delicious hangi.
You brothers and sisters of Centre Church you rock my world. With a full and satisfied puku my cup over floweth...We head home tomorrow but should we ever return to this fine city I would love to visit.
