About Chances Surf NZ Pukekohe
A proud Kiwi owned family business Chances Surf started from humble beginnings, with our first store opening in Oneroa, Waiheke Island by our Mum Wilma in 1985. Since then it’s become a family affair and as our family has grown, so too has Chances Surf.
We now have 13 retail stores located within the North Island and an online store boasting one of New Zealand's largest ranges of surf, fashion & swimwear.
We’re all for Kiwis supporting Kiwis so we proudly stock a range of homegrown brands including ilabb, RPM, Hello Stranger, Junkfood Jeans and home-lee. Plus the hottest international brands such as Quiksilver, Roxy, Billabong, Ripcurl, Rusty, The Mad Hueys, Salty Crew, Sun Bum, Seafolly, Havaianas and lots more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been in the store a few times and the customer service is shocking. There is one particular sales assistant who complains when you try clothes on and don’t buy them. I think I’d go as far to say I avoid going in there now.

I work in the customer service industry and would be very unhappy if this person worked for my team!
No greeting when I walked in, no offer to help me, and when I finished trying on my selection of garments,I took them to the counter asked for a price, put the garments on the counter I did not want and she said what are these! I said they are not what I want, is that ok?
Never had an experience like this before.
I will never shop there again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Falsely advertising sale prices online. Had read all terms and conditions on website and can see the sale price is offered at another chances store as well. Girl at the counter was not helpful and still wanted to charge more than the advertised price. Would not waste my time here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad customer service , i came in earlier in the year with my friend hoping to try look at swimwear but we were treated very badly when we were trying them on. The lady yelled at us because we had made a “big mess” when we had put some back on a return rank. When i told her , they didn’t fit us properly and wasn’t what we were after she said “ i can find you a nice one , you just aren’t willing to spend money “.
I had a $50 store credit for chances that i had received as i had returned an item of clothing. I was served by Caitlin on the 8/12/2019 and had a wonderful experience. She had told me she had put my details in the system so that next time i came in my store credit would be be available.
When i came in hoping to use my store credit , the lady i was served by was very rude and when i explained my situation kept stating that it was “odd” and kept implying that i was lying . However i do understand her situation as an employee , when i gave my details they weren’t on the system either. I believe a mistaken was made when i returned my shirt , as she had explained to me i should of received a credit note .I had been given a receipt with my account refund total which the ink is now wearing off .
I was not given a credit note when i returned my shirt and this has made me loose $50.i understand why i was not given store credit with all the confusion but i did not appreciate being spoken to so rudely as a customer and as if i had lied.
Will never go back into Chances Puke again.
If i could give a zero star i would.
