β β β β β We would like to send out a big shout to all the staff over the last few weeks for their unwavering effort to keep Charlie Farley's open and available to the public despite being extremely short staffed due to many isolating with Covid. The long hours and days without a break that they are enduring shows what a great Team of people work there and that they have each others backs and their Customers. As an Onetangi local that is our coffee stop every morning and we are always greeted with a smile and a chat by all the staff and appreciate their efforts to try and keep us all happy. Well done Team Charlie Farley!

β β β β β Loved my lunch here...great views, tasty food (catered well to my food allergies) and great service. Food came quickly even though they were busy. Waitress was so lovely and took time to go over the menu with me.

β β β β β They were short staffed due to COVID and did a fantastic job keeping everyone fed and watered. To the owners of this place they were a credit to your business. The young Maori lady doing the waiting took some heat from clients which was not called for. We complemented her for an outstanding food and service..sorry but do not know her name.

I went there for dinner, then for breakfast, dishes are very good, the staff is friendly and the location is beautiful!

β β β β β Nice location but the service is very average. After scanning my vaccine pass I was asked a second time if Iβd scanned. When I answered yes I was asked to prove it!
Table service was transactional at best.
When I went to pay - the lady who asked me for my pass was just outside the front door smoking a cigarette - the smoke was wafting inside but she didnβt care. Gross.
Iβll certainly be telling others to steer clear of this place.

β β β β β A great place for a sit down breakfast before strolling across the beach. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the eggs benedict was delicious!
Just don't leave food unattended if sitting outside, the seagulls are greedy as gannets and will swoop unattended tables in seconds ?

β β β β β We had been told great things about this cafe but weβre quite disappointed. $14 for a small bowl of super oily (I know they were truffle fries but did they need to be drenched?) chips with what looked like shredded Parmesan from the supermarket on top. The bench seats inside were quite dirty, with visible footprints clearly from children climbing about. The coffee didnβt taste good, and took 20 minutes to arrive! We understand there might be staff shortages but perhaps close part of the cafe to allow for fewer patrons to ensure better quality or something imo, just very disappointing! We were going to stay for lunch (breakfast only runs til 11) but after the fries and coffee we decided against it. Iβm sure their dinner menu is better.
