★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little cafe, the menu and cabinet food looked good and staff seemed friendly, but we did not enjoy the food. Rosti eggs Benedict, undercooked eggs (snotty whites), soggy rosti and hollandaise was far too acidic to be enjoyable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unassuming on the outside, you could easily pass by. Don't! BEAUTIFUL breakfast, attentive and friendly staff, nice toilets, fun cups for your tea, this is my new favourite place. Stop by. They even have old books for sale for a dollar. Quirky and awesome. Perfect start to our road trip ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here randomly after going for a for around the area and glad we stopped by here.
The service was good and our breakfast was delicious and so was our hot drinks. We also took some cookies to takeaway which tasted just as good.
Great selection of food in there menu and in the food capnet that i need to come back again and try there lunch menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad hygiene they leave the old food on the counter, many flies come into contact with it and it still gets put in the tray and sold. Very rude especially Lisa I can see why the staff turnover is so high & the last barista felt bullied which is why she left! Lisa can not communicate she can hardly speak English so why she thinks she can speak to people as if they are less is beyond me! I would recommend Sugar Plum by far if your looking to stop in Tuakau it’s just passed the railway tracks.
The chef at Chez bean is an amazing lady she totally deserves better!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and drinks were very delicious. Chicken was moist and crunchy, not drenching in oil. Brioche bun was toasted beautifully. The fried egg was perfect- with runny yolk, which I liked. The salad was also very tasty. Double win for the drinks that were served with a marshmallow and a chocolate fish! But servers don't smile :( The toilets were also a bit dirty. One had lights that weren't working.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son and I went here on a one off because we we're passing through. The set up is lovely and chairs comfortable. The menu was cute and the options simple but nice.
The price was normal and doable for us.
The guy that made my coffee got it on point twice and my son had a chocolate milkshake which he absolutely loved.
All in all it was a nice experience, customer service great ? I didn't 100% my eggs Benny, it was really tangy but that's just my taste buds so nothing really they can do about that.
