★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chillingworth Bistro was a warm and welcoming place on a winters thurs night, Starters of fried chicken and calamari were delicous followed by Market fish, coleslaw and fondant potatoes.
Desserts for two of our party did not disappoint either.
Service was attentive and the waiter explained every course in detail.
This is a fabulous place to dine thank you.

We eat with our eyes & it was a pleasure from courses 1-9. Eliot was a gem & knowledge of the menu a credit to the chefs who cooked obviously from their hearts. A wonderful eating experience.Thank you

The atmosphere, service and the all to together experience was amazing. We got the 7 course menu along with matching wines. The Food and service was just brilliant. Will definitely visit again.

In a private room, the 10 of us enjoyed a set 5 course meal of beautifully presented and cooked fayre that definitely tickled the taste buds. Food was of top quality and presentation, with each dish explained by the staff. Out of the ordinary culinary accompaniments were added to each dish, which added greatly to the taste and experience.
The staff were amazing, the decor superb, and would thoroughly recommend you going to Chillingworth Road - be it for a romantic occasion, celebration, or to simply enjoy a superb fine dining experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my partner here for her Birthday, yes it’s expensive but the food is delicious and worth it. Probably the best “fine dining” experience we have had in New Zealand. We got the 7 course menu and felt pretty satisfied afterwards

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had done a little bit of research of nice places to eat around Christchurch for my short visit and for my final night I chose Chillingworth Road, they did not disappoint.
Only a short car, or in my case bus ride out of the CBD (I like to travel on PT in new cities) had me at the door to Chillingworth Road a few minutes before my reservation.
A warm welcome and I was whisked off to the curtained off dining room, given an explanation of the menu (I was having the degustation) and I was left with the drinks menu, I chose not to have wine pairing given I had an early start the next morning, but would likely go for it on future visits.
What followed was a delightful 2 hours of attentive service, delicious food and a couple of lovely wines. There was not anything I would fault and I left completely satisfied.
