★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Constellations, nebula, planets, star clusters and everything in between, this was a wonderful experience. The tour was hosted by 2 very knowledgeable gentlemen who took us through a journey of the dark skies including pointing out objects with a laser to make it easy to spot certain stars or planets. The telescope was huge and had extremely clear views of all the objects we looked at. To top off the evening we got to look at the moon through the telescope, it was so close you could make out minute details of craters and rocks. Highly recommended and am looking forward to going back for a second tour!

Very impressed with the guides in their knowledge and ability to explain things in an understandable level. Very good value for money. Will definitely be returning again!

We went to this tour on a Saturday night and saw so many awesome sights in the sky! We don't want to give away too many surprises about what the tour contains, but from stars, to mysterious areas of the universe where black holes lurk and even other galaxies outside our own.... This was a trip we got to experience unlike anything else you'll get to see in the surrounding Christchurch area. Considering astronomy is such a small vocation in New Zealand, we were in for a real treat with such a curated and experienced tour that is jam packed with sights to see. The tour's guides are also very knowledgeable about all things astronomy, we loved the stimulating conversations about quantum physics and how stars burn and looking at Gary's incredible Astrophotography! All of the tour's guides explain advanced and complex concepts in an easy to understand matter and they have a great emphasis on client comfort while outside, with beanbags and blankets so you can stay warm. We 100% recommend to anyone who wants to venture through our cosmic neighbourhood and beyond. We couldn't have of asked for a better experience and we can't wait to be back for the deep space tour! Keep up the awesome work ~ Myles and Ana :)
