β β β β β I have to say, TERRIBLE SERVICE and very lazy man.
Beginning of this year I left a bag to get repaired to put a new zip, this gentleman sat on it for six months,- yes you heard me six months, with countless of excuses and visits I was wasting my time.
Three months later not knowing where to go a friend suggested me to see a shoe repairer around the corner just dropped off last week and said will be ready in a week, went there this morning for pick up and was shocked and amazed it was done, do not bother with this clown go to a true cobbler around the corner βTHE COBBLER SHOPβ.

β β β β β Absolutely the most pleasant , friendly, and conscientious owner! His prices are very reasonable, and he gets your repairs done in a timely fashion. His store sells all sorts of shoe supplies, polish, etc, as well as backpacks, bags, briefcases, etc. Plenty of options. He also makes keys and replaces watch batteries, too. I gave him 3 stars because my wife was unhappy with his repair on her favorite shoes. Lower quality repair than expected

β β β β β I donβt think he realised the heel on my ankle boots isnβt wood, itβs plastic wrapped in leather (looks wooden). Treated the sole replacement like itβs wood and can tell heβs taken to them with a sanding device, scuffed up the leather and painted over it with a dark stain.
I had to delicately wipe off the stain with nail polish remover to return the leather to its original colour. Leather is permanently scuffed though on my $280 ankle boots from Merchant. Pretty gutted.
I phoned a place in town who seemed better familiar with this style of shoe and they quoted $120 to replace the leather and restore them to like new. This is becoming expensive but worth it for my most favourite ankle boots.
