★ ★ ★ ★ ★ have been a regular here but i came away today a bit dissappointed. The price of everything is $5 and more, food in the counter was closer to $10 each, sorry but i cant afford that. I settled with a raspberry muffin and a savoury scone. Never got the scone, was charged extra for the butter, the coffee was nice, and in a cup, but the muffin let me down a bit. I couldnt taste anything, there was very little flavour. My mother had a club sandwich which is her main reason for going here and she said it had no flavour, as in salt and pepper and that was nearly $8! Im wondering if theres been a staff change. The food was the same but dearer but the main man wasnt there and I was served by a young girl who couldnt crack a smile and thats not normal for this cafe. Will i go back again? Yes, atmosphere is lovely, I just cant order what id like so ill stick to the cheaper ones, like a scone or a biscuit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice setting at Mitre10. I used to enjoy a treat out here but have recently found it not up to expectations. Twice now I have left my coffee barely touched. This time both coffees were over heated and had an awful scorched bitter taste. Watched them being made with no thermometer and milk left to heat while off doing other things. Food while looking tasty was average. For the price very disappointing. I must point out that this seems to be in recent months as all previous visits I have very much enjoyed both coffee and food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe in the mitre 10 in Nelson had a horrible staff member who was rude. Online the cafe closed at 3:30pm. My husband went in at 3pm to grab some food from the cabinet and coffees as we were starving and travelling with kids. After 10 mins in line she refused to serve him anything, even the cold food in the cabinet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointing Vietnamese salad ……so much kale which was a bit bitter, 2 tiny bits of chicken, and very little else in salad for $20……flavour of dressing was nice but wow……how hard is it to make a summer salad.
Very over powering with so much kale. Never again.
