★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay, comfy bed, room was very tidy. Receptionist was lovely. Loved the fact that there was a makeup face cloth! Only thing I would comment on is that the curtains were quite see through at night.

From the first contact in booking rooms for my team (a team working away for several weeks) to making changes, the team arriving, the breakfasts, cut lunches and beautiful evening meals plus the beautifully presented rooms you cannot fault the professional, welcoming and friendly service at this hotel. We will be coming back again and again.

I've done numerous travels throughout NZ and have stayed at some exclusive hotels, but nothing compares to the hospitality received at the Comfort. Each stay, I am greeted with warmth from each member of staff and provided with superior customer service that's personalized to my needs. Rooms have all the standard utilities you need and beds are extremely cozy. Most notably, the food made in the restaurant is so flavorsome - it's hard to single out one meal. If you want to experience hospitality like no other, I highly recommend staying at the Comfort if you're ever in Timaru - you won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was staying at this hotel for work and managed about 4 hours sleep, the noise of the fridge in the room carrying on for 30 minutes at a time before it would shut off for about 10 minutes before it would start up again... Then there is the noise of the trucks on the main road driving past the room all night.
Comfort Inn is more like the Discomfort Inn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely room but no kitchen facilities. Would not pay more than $100 for a room here. Outdated old building, very plain and perfect for a single night's stay.
1 plate, 2 cups, 2 teaspoons and a kettle. No kitchenette sink, not even a tea towel. Have to use the bathroom faucet for water. Lucky we brought some plates, cutlery and paper towels etc. For 3 nights stay, we wanted to at least be able to make lunch for the days we're here for Levels track.
Excellent location though, but bring earplugs. It's right on the main road all the trucks go through.
