★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience is regarding the Security & Alarms branch of Complete Electric Solutions (called Auckland Wide Security). Charged over $200 to get a home alarm back-up battery replaced . Agreed to a $109 call-out fee (which includes 30 min of labour on site) and was happy to pay for the battery $60 (which actually costs $31). Less than 10 minutes taken to replace the battery and system/ sensor checks done which showed that the alarm was operating well. Then technician proceeded to do uninvited 'checks' on the panel and sensors and spent additional 30 min. I get the bill and get charged for 60 minutes total labour.
I am not commenting on their technical ability. Their communication prior to the work was good. However the unethical billling behaviour as a trade/service provider is not acceptable.
