★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great restaurant/Cafe that has recently upgraded their way of doing business due to regulation changes with covid. The service seems better and more organised. My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch date here recently. Food was great! Service was great!

Went out for lunch with my wife and ordered a burger. I didn't want to send it back but it was raw in the middle and my wife insisted.
I politely asked if they could redo it and the friendly front of house staff agreed. The cook then burst out of kitchen and yelled at me in the middle of the cafe in front of other customers. He was quite condescending, stating that just because I may have done a course on food safety doesn't make me the expert. He tried to explain that the minced pattie was made with steak therefore it was allowed to be pink in the middle. However, it is still minced and needs to be cooked properly to avoid food poisoning. I found him very unprofessional and was so uncomfortable at being yelled at after paying for my meal that my wife and I left immediately without getting to enjoy our food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The resturaunt was very clean and we'll presented. The staff were very friendly and great to deal with. The food was absolutely top notch, loved the food we had the blue cheese burger and the chicken burger best burgers we've ever had.

Ordered ribeye steak medium with prawns, twice cooked wedges, salad and garlic sauce. Cooked perfectly, very tasty meal and a good size.
My wife ordered for the price the best blue cod and chips with salad available in southland.
And the coffee was great as well
