After asking an agent if they had any recommendations towards a building inspector or builder I was told that was unethical for them to suggest but they did recommend 'No Cowboys' as a reliable, solid, peer reviewed service. After all my cross checking was complete on the No Cowboys site Phil @ Cornerstone Property Inspection Services LTD seemed to hands down be the best option & by far in wide he certainly was (a week later I chatted with the same agent whom commended our choice & was whom they would have suggested). We worked with Phil until we finally found our new home. What took a grueling long year & a half thanks to the Covid19 madness we viewed many places & Phil became an integral factor in all our decision making along the way. Phil is an absolute wealth of knowledge of most styles & time period applications. Not once did he say to me "..Luke, I don't know". He always took the time to explain & answer my silly questions and was always so very thorough which allowed my wife & I to make quick on the spot deal making & breaking decisions when time was ticking for pre auction offers or pulling the pin last minute. As the mental fatigue began setting in a year down the track, feeling like we were quickly becoming priced out of a market, Phil helped us realize on a couple of the places that a rash decision could end in expensive restoration. Understanding this at a time when we were starting to fade during the whole process helped us to remove the emotion from the equation & be more rational for which we are eternally grateful for & most likely wouldn't be in the house we just bought but hemorrhaging cash on hidden sins on something that seemed like it would do. Phil was punctual, affordable & best of all although we only paid for cheaper verbal breakdown options along the course of our home hunt, the minute we purchased, for a small fee we were able to gain a full comprehensive breakdown in writing with all photos included of everything he documented at the inspection which has become our full warrant of fitness of our new home & also a to do list of the little things Phil has spotted along the way which is absolutely priceless!!! We appreciated Phil's non judgemental, Professional help & respected his honest opinions which I found myself asking him for more & more but ultimately we new the decision came down to my wife & I doing the best research we could (but Phil was always right haha) & would 100% recommend Phil anywhere, anytime!! If this was Trademe it would definitely be a AAA+ would trade again from us haha Thanks so much Phil, you're a bloody legend mate!

I have used Phil from Cornerstone to inspect our home. Using the latest technology Phil gave our place a thorough going over; underneath , on the roof, outside and inside and he had no hesitation going into difficult areas of the house to inspect. He knew his stuff. He had good up to date equipment and was friendly, polite and respectful. He took photos and videos and recorded notes on existing areas for repair and noted possible future problems. The report he prepared was comprehensive and easy to understand with photos, notes, moisture readings and recommendations. We now have confidence that our house is sound.
