About Coromandel TOP 10 Holiday Park
Both Caron and Sean grew up in the small farming community of Reporoa in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand.
Married for 2 years and living in Papamoa at the time the opportunity came up to purchase a tired Holiday Park in Coromandel Town.
Arriving in Coromandel on the 30th April 1999 a week off having their first child Caron and Sean began their journey as holiday park owners/managers at what was then known then as the Coromandel Holiday Park.
Caron a trained Nurse and Sean a Plumber ,they each bought valuable skills to their new profession.
The first few months involved major landscaping, renovation, updating the existing units, learning to work with each other and understanding the demands of their new profession along with having their first child Logan.
2 years on, Sara their second child came into the world.
Over the next 4 to 6 years the park occupancy grew slowly and Caron supplemented their income by working as a nurse on the Coromandel town 3 days per week while Sean managed the park and the kids. This situation was not ideal so it was time to rethink.
The marketing plan was always to become a TOP 10 park, In the summer of 2012 the Coromandel Holiday Park bought the TOP 10 Franchise and became Coromandel TOP 10. Along with this Caron finished work as a nurse in the community and focused on marketing and growth, while Sean stared spending money and building the park, introducing the jumping pillow, heating the pool and refurbishing the units. They developed a 5 year strategic plan that included a promise to introduce something new for the kids each year.
The park has grown a lot over the past 3 years. They have a great team of staff working along side them to deliver a great experience to all the Coromandel TOP 10 Guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The park is very well maintained, but overall wasn't a very relaxing experience. We made a booking for 5 adults and 1 child, traveling with 2 vehicles. The site wasn't very flat so couldn't fit tent and vehicles comfortably. This caused issues because there's zero extra parking for most sites. Camp management did well to shift the blame, saying we failed to register one of the vehicles (which we registered). Definitely do not recommend Top 10 Coromandel if you're a large family or couples camping together.
Can also hear everything going on in the cabins next to the camp site ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible booking experience. Made a booking via Booking.com and received the confirmation email. Staff from this site called me one day before I was due to arrive and informed me that the room will now cost three times the original amount. Apparently there was a "system error" on the Booking.com website. Called the Booking.com help centre and they flatly denied any system errors and blamed the Holiday Park for getting it wrong. Both parties did not honour their agreement and the only option remaining was to pay an exorbitant amount for a basic cabin with shared bathrooms. I had to cancel my weekend. Would not recommend staying here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the moment I arrived I was impressed with this holiday park. Terri Anne was so welcoming and made me feel like my time there really mattered. I was upgraded and found the cabin and all facilities to be in a fantastic tidy and clean condition - well maintained and had everything I needed, and more! I would highly recommend a stay here. Great location to do the hikes I wanted - Kauri Block, Harry Track and Success Track. Plus easy drive to Ruffins Bay and other beautiful locations. Loved everything! Thank you!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facilities are awesome and amazingly clean. Unfortunately the lady that runs it is very rude. We got an automated text asking what time we wanted to check in,however when we arrived at said time we were told we couldn't enter till 2pm. The rule board inside the park also states check in is 12. She picks and chooses who she likes. Having a boat was also an issue and extra charge. None of this was her fault of course. Won't be back.

The Holiday Park is very tidy and well equipped! The playground is great and my kids loved the pool with the slide!
Staff are amazing! helpful, friendly and accommodating!
Sadly we had to leave early, but we will definitely be back one day ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect for the kids. They were easily entertained with the pool, playground and karts. Lovely friendly staff and very clean and tidy grounds. We stayed in a non-powered site and would happily stay again in a cabin! Thanks a lot for a perfect weekend away
