★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lot of parking spot. Due to Covid and panic buying, some shelves were empty. But most items were available. I found that Countdown bit cheaper than New World.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came into this supermarket with a friend, who is obviously 18+ and they are older than me, and I picked up a bottle of cider I wanted to buy and as I went through the checkout I was asked for ID which I readily showed (my friend had forgotten their wallet and left the store before I went to purchase) but then this horribly rude employee, an older woman with grey hair and glasses, turned around from the self checkout area and very harshly asked "where's your friends ID?" and I calmly explained that they had forgotten their ID but they are over 18 and she then responded with "That's not the point GIRL". I found this extremely disrespectful but I didn't say anything as I was in shock so I just left the store. This woman has repeatedly been disrespectful to me on multiple occasions at this store. Sadly I didn't catch her name but I find it disturbing that central Countdown Blenheim continues to let this behavior happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is really good to see the diversity of the staff in this countdown! The filipina lady was very kind and patient & can sense her genuine smile behind the mask… very organised, fast & really great in packing groceries!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m 26, forgot my ID, took my beers to the checkout. And the staff took into consideration the fact that I look at least 28.
So I left with my Speight’s low carb Summit. I’m a happy man.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good day for shopping. The supermarket parking has plenty of spaces, wheelchair people are welcome too. Every day has different offers on sale and want to mention the staff are friendly and helpful. I was little bit struggling on the wine department because couldn’t find any mention of whether the wine is sweet or dry so I took one and I will see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basic Countdown supermarket that doesn't particularly stand out one way or another. Doesn't have the specific things I was looking for (which the Christchurch one does have), so 4 stars instead of 5, but overall it's fine. Definitely big, clean, well stocked, etc.
