The layout felt familiar - must've been because we've shopped in a similar layout to other shops around the country; noticeably with a chemist dispensary in the heart of the shop too. Loved, there were different options available in comparison to other supermarket. Well done Countdown Hastings!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of the most frustrating experiences. First off, I booked pick up to both save time and avoid having to park in your horrendous car park. Neither occured. Upon arrival, I discovered there was no parking available for pickup customers, so I ended up having to park off site. Then, when I hit the button to tell of my arrival, it was a good five minutes even though I clicked 'arrived' in this portal. Then when someone finally arrived to the door, she opened the door and just looked at me blankly. No words. I then figured out she was after my name. When I got back to my car, I looked through my bags to see if I got everything and was disappointed to discover no mozzarella cheese was there. It said you were out of stock. I didn't believe it, so I put my groceries in my car and went in to the shop, something I wanted to avoid after a long day of work.. Luckily, for my dinner plans for the evening, you had mozzarella in stock. Why was it not included in my online shop? I told the cashier that helped me inside and she didn't seem to be surprised and was also not apologetic of my inconvenience. Additionally, there were substitutes made in my shop when I specified no substitution. I would not recommend to a friend and will probably avoid this countdown in the future.
